In this tutorial I will try to show you how to create a logo with reflection effect in Photoshop.
1 – Use the text tool to write what ever you like.
2 – Rasterize your text layer. The easiest way to do this is by trying to use the erase tool on the layer.
3 – Select the layer, right click and from the menu select layer via copy.
4 – From top menu select Edit >> Free Transform.
5 – Set the height value of the layer to -100% ( from 100% ). This will invert the picture.
6 – Move our shape right to the bottom of the previous shape so that it will be upside down.
7 – Select “Add Layer Mask” from the layers window which is at the bottom.
8 – Select the gradient tool from tools and set the colors to black and white. Start from somewhere near the middle of the top-down image and draw a vertical line upwards to somewhere near the middle of the first image.
9 – Having a background color of black is always a good choice with the colors like green, orange, turquise and etc. Here is our reflection effect.
